
The Transparency Board has set new fuel prices in the country this Saturday, reflecting the latest changes in the oil market. According to the decision taken at the meeting on May 16, 2026, diesel will be traded at no more than 202 lek per liter, while gasoline at no more than 188 lek per liter.
The new prices came into effect today at 13:00 and will remain valid until the next Board meeting. Authorities warn that any operator who violates the decision will face measures up to and including suspension of activity.

The Transparency Board on May 16, 2026, at its next meeting, decided:
The retail price of the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard should be no more than 202 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should be no more than 190 lek/liter.
The retail price of the SSH EN standard gasoline by-product should be no more than 188 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should be no more than 176 lek/liter.
The prices set by the Board will come into effect today, the 16th, at 1:00 p.m. and will be valid until the next board meeting where the changes in sales prices will be reflected.
We draw the attention of every operator of wholesale and retail sales of petroleum by-products to the obligation to implement this decision.
In case of violations found by various operators, the suspension of activity will be decided.
