From today, transfers in euros from Albania to the EU with low commissions

From today, October 7, Albanian citizens and businesses can make transfers in euros to European Union countries with much lower commissions and according to the same rules as within the EU.

Albania is officially a member of SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area), making it easier and cheaper to send money abroad in euros. According to the Bank of Albania's estimates, citizens and businesses will save around 20 million euros in the first year alone thanks to these changes.

This initiative is expected to facilitate Albanian businesses, increase economic interaction with European partners, and reduce the cost of payments for citizens.
