Episode of ZëmeMirën Podcast with Dr. Arjana Rreli

This has been a cold January, especially for my heart. Even though you know me and know that I don't want to turn the light away from myself, this time it was impossible not to happen. Perhaps for one of those inexplicable combinations that life knows how to do well. I had spoken with Arjana Rreli in other seasons to make an episode on the biology of loss. There had always been the will, respect, mutual appreciation, but something was missing. Time, perhaps. Or inner readiness. Until this January came. And I was more than ever ready for this topic. More than that: I needed it. When I lost my father, I counted every message, every warm presence, every effort to be close to me. And yet, in the face of pain, one remains alone. It is an inexplicable loneliness, which neither love, nor care, nor a kind word can replace. This is exactly where this episode begins. A conversation about loss, not only as pain, but as a process. About the need to not only cope, but also to understand what happens to us. Loss, sooner or later, touches us all. And perhaps for this very reason, this episode is worth it for everyone.
