Kosovo has announced July 3 as a day of mourning for the loss of Kadare.
The state funeral will be held on Wednesday, the day when Ismail Kadare will also be taken to his last residence.
President Osmani, in June of last year, decorated the writer Ismail Kadare with the "Hasan Prishtina" Order, among the highest Orders given by the Republic of Kosovo to the most outstanding personalities.
Meanwhile, in August, the President announced the decree by which the world-famous Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare, was granted the citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo.
