The Vetevendosje Movement has emerged as the winning party in the early parliamentary elections, which took place on December 28 in Kosovo. According to the results published by the CEC, the Vetevendosje Movement has received 49.80 percent of the votes. It is expected to receive 56 deputies in the Assembly. These projections have been made without including the votes of the diaspora. They remain conditional, until the conclusion of the electoral process.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) ranks second with 21.21 percent of the vote, and is expected to receive 23 deputies in the Assembly. The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has received 13.76 percent of the vote and has secured 15 deputies. Meanwhile, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), which has received 5.73 percent of the vote, is expected to have 6 deputies in the Assembly.
Their distribution will be done according to the D'Hondt method, which is the standard methodology used in Kosovo. The Kosovo Assembly has a total of 120 seats, of which 100 are general, which are divided among political entities, while the remaining 20 seats are reserved for non-majority communities.
