The Korça incident is revealed after 7 years. Antonio Karafili was killed by his partner and her lover who made it look like suicide

It was not suicide. Seven years later, a serious incident that occurred in Voskopoja has been revealed.
Seven years after the mysterious death of young Antonio Karafili in Voskopoja, the Korça prosecution has managed to unravel the incident, identifying the real perpetrators of the crime: Rexhep Vathi and Kejsi Spaillari.
Further investigation revealed that Spaillari, then 18 years old, and her partner Rexhep Vathi staged a suicide. They are suspected of strangling Antonio with a sheet and then hanging his body from a pine tree, to give the authorities the impression that the young man had decided to end his life.
A key piece of evidence in the case was a DNA sample found on the sheet used to tie the victim. This evidence led to the identification of Kejsi Spaillari, for whom an arrest warrant has been issued for “intentional murder in collaboration.” She is currently abroad, residing in Canada.
No security measures were taken for Rexhep Vathi, who died by suicide after the incident. The investigation also provided the same biological evidence linking him to the crime scene.
The tragic event occurred in 2018 and is suspected to have been motivated by a complicated love affair. Kejsi had a parallel relationship with both Antonio and Rexhepi. On the fateful evening, the couple had argued about jealousy and then separated. Kejsi later told Antonio's mother that he had committed suicide.
This is where the Karafili family's suspicions began, as the victim's mother found the body with her feet on the ground, an unusual position for a suicide by hanging. Furthermore, no traces were found on Antonio's hands that would indicate an attempt to climb the tree on his own.
Although the police initially registered the incident as a suicide, later, Judge Arben Lena decided to return the case for reinvestigation. This led to the reorientation of the investigation towards a premeditated murder, which was confirmed through scientific analysis and new evidence.
After many years of uncertainty and question marks, Antonio Karafili's family now has an official version of what happened to their son.
