The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, congratulated the DP structures that refused to participate in the meeting that former MP Ervin Salianji organized the day before in Elbasan.
When asked about Flamur Noka's statements, according to which the meeting was organized by Suel Çela, Berisha said that this violates a DP red line, underlining that collaboration with crime is unacceptable.
"In my entire political career and in the most difficult days, I have not made and do not compromise with crime. Regardless of the price it has had, I am deeply convinced that Sali Berisha's red line is cooperation with crime. For a corrupt member of the Presidency to organize with Suel Çela the most dangerous criminal of Elbasan, the head of one of the most powerful cartels in Europe, is unacceptable and can never be crossed. In this context, the one who undertakes such an action crosses the red line and is responsible for his line. I never accept any form of cooperation with any of the drug cartels. We have had information that claims that Suel Çela was the main shadow organizer of the meeting. Greetings to all the structures that boycotted such a meeting with disgust. This party has a red line against any form of cooperation with criminal organizations," said Berisha.
