Orban admits defeat: The result is clear and painful

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has conceded defeat in a speech to supporters, telling them that the election result is clear and painful. The BBC reports that Orbán told supporters that their task is clear.

"We don't have the weight of governing the country, so we have to rebuild our communities." He thanked the two and a half million voters who voted for his Fidesz party and promised that they would never be disappointed.

Votes are still being counted, but with about 60% completed so far, opposition leader Péter Magyar is on track to win a two-thirds majority in parliament, a landslide victory.
