Tirana 11 nights protagonist of art! Cloud Festival electrified the metropolis

For 11 consecutive nights, Tirana turned into an oasis of traditional and contemporary music, giving an extraordinary atmosphere within the framework of the annual festival, Cloud Festival. Again this year, more than 150 artists occupied the open stage in the center of the metropolis, giving music enthusiasts, but also 'drunk' passers-by from the moment, a diverse show dominated by art.

The festival started on May 16 and continued until the beginning of June. With the participation of foreign and local artists, the showcase at "Reja" electrified and brought an impressive expedition conveying the sounds of sazes, rhapsodes, choreography, interpretation of poems, music of various genres such as jazz, punk, epic-lyrical, etc.

Tirana opened its arms and hosted hundreds of artists, to offer an impressive experience to the public, promoting the diversity and artistic wealth in the country. With the support of the key institutions in the country, the Municipality of Tirana, the Ministry of Culture, Economy and Innovation, the Ministry of Tourism and the Environment, Raiffaisen Bank and the Kreo Association, Tirana was transformed into the protagonist of local and international talents in 11 wonderful nights where the weaving of culture traditional and modern charmed the listeners.

The interest in Cloud Festival was extraordinary, young and old enjoyed all together in the open spaces at "Reja", having fun with the unexpected and surprises reserved just for them. No two nights at Cloud Festival were the same, each one offering a unique and exciting experience for the audience up in the clouds. The multicultural festival not only entertained, but made the audience feel, leaving an unforgettable mark in the hearts of all those who were part of this artistic journey.

The eighth edition of Cloud Festival started first with Blenard Azizaj who brought a novelty performance with contemporary dance, while Džambo Aguševi Orchestra led us on a musical journey of the Balkans. Jonida Prifti and Saz'iso offered emotional performances and complex melodies on the second evening, while Merita Bunjaku & Rapsodët e Deçani awakened our nostalgia with traditional songs that made the audience be in sync with the stage.

Kora Connection and Baladi Ensemble added a new musical sensation under their unique sounds. Liljana Kondakçi and Djemt e Liqeni surprised us with the sounds of light Albanian music. The performances by Mats Erlandsson and Berti & Miqte from Shkodra experimented with different sounds and unusual artistic forms.

Evenings with Meri Dishnica and Kori e Reşa offered a different experience, while Dobrila & Dorian and Viktor Szeri with Rozi Mákó ended with an excellent combination of tradition and current. The ninth night gave us a novelty demonstration with marionettes, Spanish rhythms and punk music. The 10th night became a symbol of colors, with the Tirana Pride march and the artistic performances of Mary Kate Sheehan, Enris Qinami & Alexia Traore and Claude Dedja, encouraging us to reflect on diversity and the spirit of love. Cloud Fest ended wonderfully with a euphoric atmosphere with the Tirana Ensemble and Metropol Theater where everyone "burned" Beqari's handkerchief.

The social impact that Cloud Festival has given has also been surprising, hundreds of citizens who enjoyed the electrifying evenings at this varied artistic exhibition expressed their appreciation by singling out the night that left the most impression on them. This is the magic of Cloud Festival, which brings together big and small to know, enjoy and explore the fluidity of art!
