The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has received in a meeting Robert Gorelick, the former head of the CIA in Italy and other countries of the world, who has visited the Albanian capital for the first time. In a post on the X platform, Veliaj expresses his happiness about the conversation he had with Gorelick, especially about the ideas of how Tirana can be a safer city.
"Happy to host Robert Gorelick on his first visit to Tirana - once unvisited by any foreign country, today it is the most lively capital of Albanians and the Western Balkans! It was a pleasure to talk about cold war and current issues, and we brainstormed some ideas on how Tirana can be the safest city in Europe!", he writes.
