The Serbian people are making everyone talk about them, about the protests in silence, without violence, but with millions of lights

The Serbian people are raising their voices in the most powerful way, in silence. With millions of lights on, citizens are protesting nonviolently, demanding change and justice. Students march with their books, workers wave flags, mothers sing, and farmers leave their fields to unite.
From Niš and Kragujevac, people travel by bicycle to be part of this historic movement. From remote villages to city centers, thousands of Serbs carry banners with messages such as: “Corruption is killing us!”, “Students will change the world!” and “Freedom is not a privilege, but a right!”.

Voices can be heard on the streets shouting: "Wake up, something is happening!", while the symbol of protest - an open, blood-red hand - is waved everywhere.
Yesterday, more than 300,000 citizens filled the streets of Belgrade.
