Men need to exercise twice as much as women to get the same heart benefits

A new study has shown that women benefit more from physical exercise than men, especially for heart health.
According to research, women who exercise for about 4 hours a week can reduce their risk of heart disease by 30%. While men need to exercise almost 9 hours a week to achieve the same result.
Even a little exercise helps: just 2 and a half hours a week can reduce the risk by 22% in women and 17% in men.
The study also showed that people with heart disease can also benefit. Women who exercise for about 50 minutes a week live longer, while men need to do about 85 minutes to get the same benefit.
So, men need to exercise about 1.7 times more than women to have the same heart protection.
Scientists say this may be related to the hormone estrogen, which helps women burn fat and protects blood vessels. Also, women have more muscle for endurance, while men have more muscle for strength and speed, and this may mean that women's hearts benefit more from a little exercise.
