A serious incident occurred inside an Albanian family in Italy. 55-year-old Shkëlqim Bedeli killed his wife Shegushe Paeshti and then ended his life. The plan, according to Italian media, turned out to have been planned after the 55-year-old left two letters written by himself, one for the police and one for the three children who would return home after the holidays. Shkëlqim Bedeli who lives with his family in the village of La Collina wrote in the letter that he could no longer live with the stress, the psychological state because he thought that his wife had betrayed him and kept a secret relationship with another person.

For the first time, she did not show up for work. And the kids who had just gone on holiday tried to contact their parents but without success. These were sad signals of a tragedy that no one had imagined. Everything was studied, sitting at a table and thinking about all the smallest details: Children who were not at home and neighbors fleeing on vacation away from their place of residence. This was the macabre scenario with two lives lost, an entire family in pain and a shaken neighborhood.
The event took place in Calino, a village of Cazzago San Martino, in La Collina: This is where Shkëlqim Bedeli and Shegushe Paeshti lived for almost 20 years. The man and woman (both 55 years old) were found dead in their home.
They were found Thursday morning. The man hanging near the handrail of the stairs, while the woman tied to the railing, with signs of violence on her body. She is said to have drowned before being tied up by her husband and before the latter ended his life as well. According to prosecutor Alessio Bernardi, the 55-year-old was hanged in such a way that he had no chance of escaping, even from the human instinct itself to escape in a dangerous situation.
At the scene of the tragedy, police found two letters written on a computer, one addressed to children and the other to authorities. In those few lines, Shkëlqim Bedeli told about the disagreements that had pushed him to do the serious act: Problems in the couple and jealousy. But it is possible that he was affected by depression, possibly acute depression after losing his job a few weeks ago.
People who have known them have shown that they were a quiet couple, and generally in love with each other (perhaps only in the eyes of acquaintances). Shegushe Paeshti worked at Amadori. She returned home and devoted the rest of her time to housework and walks generally with her husband. While Bedeli, who worked as a blacksmith for many years, also took care of his garden where he had planted tomatoes.
The kids are already back from vacation, shocked by the event. The bodies of their parents have been sent to the morgue for expertise, but there is no doubt that we are dealing with a homicide-suicide. The faces of some neighbors this morning reflected the shock.
