The deadline to withdraw biometric documents, passports and identity cards for all those who have applied for the period 01.01.2019 until 31.12.2019 at the Albanian Embassy in Greece has been extended.
The Embassy has published a notice stating that the postponement was made due to the situation created by the pandemic, while the applicants will have a deadline for the withdrawal of documents until April 30, 2021.
Meanwhile, for those who applied before December 24, the cards and passports have arrived at the Consular Office and their distribution will be done by mail according to the declared place of residence.
Withdrawal of biometric documents is done only through the postal service, at the email address [email protected] , where the exact details of the applicant and the full home address must be specified.

Dear compatriots,
The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Athens informs you that citizens who have applied for biometric documents (passport and identity card) from 01.01.2019 to 31.12.2019, have a deadline for their withdrawal until April 30, 2021. The deadline for withdrawal of biometric documents for applications made during this period has been postponed due to the created pandemic situation.
Passports and Identity Cards have arrived at the Consular Office for applications completed by December 24, 2020. All biometric documents for which citizens have completed the application at the Embassy by December 24, 2020 and have completed the declaration responsible for sending them by mail, have been sent by the Consular Office and are expected to be delivered to the declared address of their place of residence in the following days.
Due to the heavy workload of the company that distributes biometric documents, the situation created by the pandemic and the restrictive measures taken by the Hellenic authorities, delays may occur during the distribution / delivery process.
Withdrawal of biometric documents will be done only through the postal service, for all requests administered in our e-mail [email protected], where the exact details of the applicant and the full home address must be specified.
Enter in the subject of your e-mail "Passport withdrawal request" and in the text the following data:
- Name Surname
- Correct home address (street name, number, postal code, city, district)
- Photo of the application invoice
- Cell phone number
We emphasize that there is no need to resubmit requests by e-mail to all those citizens who after the application procedure at the Embassy have filed a statement responsible for sending by mail their biometric documents.
