He lost his job due to pandemic: The 47-year-old set the house on fire with his family inside

A 47-year-old man of Albanian origin has died from asphyxiation due to the fire he set on his own house. Italian media write that the victim is Dritan Çobo, the father of 4 children who remained unemployed after being blocked by coronavirus pandemic.
The serious incident took place in Civitella del Tronto (Teramo) at midnight on Friday. The 47-year-old, who previously worked in construction, had a heated argument with his wife and children, and after they went to bed he sprayed gasoline on the sofas and walls of the house.
One of the family's sons managed to pull out his 37-year-old mother and three brothers, aged 19, 17 and 6, but when he returned to fetch his father, he died.
The 37-year-old with 4 children was taken to hospital. They will be temporarily housed in a social housing. Police have launched an investigation to uncover details of the shocking event.
