The 18-year-old Albanian graduate is ranked first in the Department of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics. Her name is Albiona Manço and in the state exams she got the highest points, 18,750, setting a new record.
She was born in Greece as an only daughter after both parents emigrated many years ago while showing that she did not attend private courses like her classmates.
'I never agreed to go to private courses after school. I know myself well, I know how much time I have to acquire a subject, the time and effort I have to invest, private courses would simply deprive me of other extracurricular activities, which are equally important to me '.
Among other things, the 18-year-old has shown that she was the only foreign student in primary school and sometimes felt different: 'It was not easy as an immigrant child, growing up, in high school and high school I calmed down that there were other children foreign. In the end, the discrimination, however limited, that I experienced, strengthened me, made me more prepared and prudent '.
