After Greece, Italy is also postponing its residence permits

Expired Italian residence permits or on the verge of expiration will be valid until 31 August 2020. This is due to the state of national emergency due to COVID-19.

The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Rome confirms that Albanian citizens living in Italy for short-term stays (with a visa or exempted from the obligation to obtain a visa), but can not return to the country of origin due to objective circumstances of force majeure (such as the lack of connecting lines for the transport of people), may temporarily continue their stay legally, without fulfilling any further formality.

Greece has also postponed its residence permits until December 31.
