Consular Service: Important notice for Albanians in these countries

As of today, legalization work has resumed at the consular services at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. Consular services at the Albanian embassies in Brussels, Munich and Thessaloniki have also resumed .

Facilitating measures in these countries has already enabled the provision of services. The news was announced by the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj.

In a Facebook post he writes:

From now on, in accordance with the plan of mitigation measures, the work of legalizations at the consular services in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs will resume ????!

Also, today the consular services have resumed in the Representations of the Republic of Albania in Brussels, Munich and Thessaloniki. This is because the facilitation of measures in the respective countries has enabled the provision of services.

Work on other representations will begin depending on the gradual opening measures of the respective countries. All work, of course, will take place in accordance with the necessary measures required by the fight against COVID-19 pandemic at this stage. Our commitment remains unwavering in linking the major objectives of foreign policy to the daily needs of the citizens of Albania.

But citizens living abroad have many questions for Cakaj, who have commented and complain that they are not getting answers to some questions.

Some of their concerns:

- The consulate in Munich works so hard that it will take 2 months to open the phone ... make a document or apply a passport and make it better to go to Albania than to wait for an email or reply ... how correct we are we Albanians ..

-Meetings that are lost for passports in Athens when they will be closed again ... Please give us an answer ... Respect us as we respected you in the voting .. PLEASE AN ANSWER ANSWER .... respect

It will be possible to obtain a passport at the Albanian Embassy in Ankara or at the Consulate in Istanbul. We have problems with passports and if we do not reach the renewal in time we may lose our employment agreements.
