The house in Montecito that Gwyneth Paltrow shares with her husband, writer and producer Brad Falchuk has taken on elements created specifically to soothe the mind, body and soul.
The entrance has an 18th-century chimney and stone floors from Chateau Domingue.

"We have spent a lot of time evaluating family models, which makes us more comfortable. "The focus was on experience, emotion," says Paltrow.

Paltrow initially fell under the spell of Montecito, before leaving to pursue a career in acting.

"I have always been attracted to Santa Barbara. Even when I lived in London, we took the kids there for vacations. "It was our sweet pearl of escape to the United States," she said.

Paltrow describes the design of the house as " a Parisian apartment housed inside an old European barn, something with high ceilings, flooded with light, a place that feels cluttered but at the same time manageable."
