Violence against students in Kamëz, Kumbaro: The teacher was fired

A serious case of violence against students has been reported at the 9-year school "100th Anniversary of Independence" in Kamëz, where several parents have filed a complaint with the investigative show "Stop" about the behavior of the caretaker teacher Mine Hasani.

According to the footage obtained by hidden cameras, the teacher is shown hitting the students and using offensive, threatening and derogatory language towards them. Monitoring over a week shows that serious insults were repeatedly used against the children.

After the publication of the case, the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, reacted, calling the incident flagrant and unacceptable.

"A message to all parents and teachers, regarding the flagrant case of violence exercised by a person wearing a teacher's jacket, as unacceptable behavior and in complete contradiction with the values of education. As of today, the person is no longer part of the teaching staff, while the working group established for this issue is continuing the full documentation of responsibilities.

No such event can and should undermine the dedicated, professional, and passionate work of thousands of teachers across Albania, who are the best role models for our children every day.

"Respect and support for them," her response reads.
