High school graduates begin the first step towards the State Matura exams today

The Minister of Education and Sports, Mirela Kumbaro, has announced that as of today, the process of completing the A1 form has officially begun, through which high school graduates select elective subjects for the 2026 State Matura exams.
In a message published on social networks, the minister emphasized that this choice is of great importance, as it directly affects the academic direction and further university journey of each student.
The Minister called on the graduates to make this decision wisely and not in haste.
"Think carefully about this important step, consult with your teachers and parents, because the choice you make today will guide you towards the next phase of your studies. For those who are not this year's high school graduates, but from previous years, there is the A1Z form, already known to applicants. It should be remembered that there are only two days available for this form. We have informed everyone according to the regional directorates: on February 2, 3 and 4 in Tirana, Durrës and Fier; on February 5, 6 and 9 in Korça and Lezha. On these dates, educational staff will be ready to help and guide you at every step," said Kumbaro.
