From idea to innovation: Here are the winners of Start Up City 7 organized by Tirana Metropolitan University

In a dynamic and energetic atmosphere, in the modern premises of Inno Hup in Protik near the Pyramid, the final of the 7th edition of Start Up City took place, one of the most important activities in the country for innovation and youth entrepreneurship. This unique initiative, organized for seven years by the Metropolitan University of Tirana, aims to discover, support and empower the ideas of high school students and students that have the potential to turn into real businesses.
Start Up City has now become a development and awareness platform, encouraging critical thinking, creative problem solving and fostering entrepreneurship among young people. Over the years, dozens of projects have been shaped into concrete products, creating a vibrant and sustainable start-up ecosystem in Albania.
The final of this edition brought together 15 selected teams, who presented their ideas in front of a prestigious jury and a large audience. Among the guests of honor were the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj, as well as the President of the Metropolitan University of Tirana, Mr. Arjan Çukaj.
"Start Up City is much more than a competition. It is a window of hope and opportunity for young Albanians who believe that their ideas are worth it. Today we saw a generation that is not afraid to dream and build." - said Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate.
She emphasized that this activity is not just an annual event, but a development lever that empowers young people to move from idea to implementation. “The young people who participated today are not simply participants in a competition, but are creators of solutions that our country needs. What impressed me most was their courage to think differently, to take responsibility and to build with their own hands a better future for themselves, for the community and for Albania.”

He underlined that UMT does not aim to provide only academic knowledge, but to be a catalyst for social change and development. “Start Up City is not just a platform for business ideas, but it is an environment where youth develop self-confidence, leadership and sensitivity to the challenges of the time. Here, young people learn to collaborate, think critically and bring ideas that have a real impact on society. It is a pleasure and responsibility for us as an institution to be part of this transformative journey.”
Juria e këtij edicioni, e përbërë nga profesionistë të njohur në fushën e teknologjisë, biznesit dhe ekosistemit start-up, kishte për detyrë sfiduese përzgjedhjen e projekteve më premtuese. Në përbërje të saj ishin:

Pas një gare të fortë dhe plot emocion, u shpallën tre fituesit kryesorë të Start Up City 7:
Vendi i Parë: NineHana
Çmimi: Programi i Akselerimit 2-mujor Boosting Innovation PoliBa (BINP) + €1,000
NineHana është një platformë e dedikuar për nënat në Shqipëri, që ofron mbështetje të gjithanshme gjatë shtatzënisë dhe periudhës së hershme të mëmësisë. Me përmbajtje në shqip, të verifikuar nga profesionistë, aplikacioni ofron kujtesa për vizitat tek mjeku, këshilla për kujdesin ndaj bebit, mbështetje emocionale dhe një komunitet të dedikuar. Ideja u vlerësua për adresimin e një nevoje reale në shoqëri dhe potencialin për ndikim të gjerë social.
Vendi i Dytë: NoctiVox
Çmimi: €1,000 + Mbështetje për Inkubim nga METINC
NoctiVox është një platformë që unifikon mjetet e sigurisë kibernetike në një ndërfaqe të vetme dhe të personalizueshme. Përdoruesit, si individë ashtu edhe organizata, mund të menaxhojnë të gjitha funksionet kritike të sigurisë në mënyrë të thjeshtë, me pagesë sipas përdorimit ose paketa enterprise. Juria vlerësoi lart qasjen modulare, fleksibilitetin dhe aplikimin e teknologjisë së inteligjencës artificiale në një treg që arrin vlerën 240 miliardë dollarë.
Vendi i Tretë: FinCity_MoneyRush
Çmimi: €500 + Mbështetje për Inkubim nga METINC
MoneyRush është një aplikacion edTech gamifikues që synon të mësojë të rinjtë mbi financat personale përmes një eksperience argëtuese dhe interaktive. Lojtarët përballen me situata reale, si menaxhimi i buxhetit, kursimi, investimi dhe planifikimi afatgjatë, duke ndërtuar njohuri të qëndrueshme. Me karakteristika si këshilltari virtual me AI, përmbajtje të personalizuar dhe modele të ndryshme fitimi, MoneyRush u vlerësua si një mjet inovativ për edukimin financiar të brezit të ri.
Përveç tre vendeve të para, juria ndau edhe çmime speciale, të cilat vlerësuan aspekte të veçanta të prezantimeve dhe përfshirjes:
• Best Pitch Award – për prezantimin më të fuqishëm dhe bindës para jurisë
• Best Woman Entrepreneur Award – për sipërmarrësen më të spikatur femër në kompeticion
• Best Teen Award – për pjesëmarrësin më të ri me ide premtuese
• Innovation Hub Award – për projektin me potencial të lartë për zhvillim në një mjedis bashkëkohor inkubimi.
Among the valued partners that supported this activity are the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana, DIAVA, BINP, INNVEST, the Albanian Start-Up Agency, ARCED, the E-Commerce Association, the Keiretsu Forum for Southeast Europe, and Protik. This fruitful collaboration between educational institutions, the private sector, and specialized organizations is a key foundation for building a sustainable culture of innovation.
Through this collaborative network, the value chain that supports and fosters the development of young people's ideas in Albania is strengthened, creating a favorable environment for the growth and realization of their potential in the field of entrepreneurship. This edition confirmed once again that Albania has extraordinary young people, capable of challenging the future and bringing creative solutions to the problems of the present. Start Up City 7 was not just a competition for ideas, it was a platform that proved that when young people are supported and given the right space, they can create the future they want. The young people won more than awards, they gained experience, networking and above all, self-confidence.
