Thousands of high school graduates across the country sit down today to take the first 2026 State Matura exam, officially opening the season of final secondary education tests.
The first test is the foreign language test and will take place from 10:00 to 12:30, while students must report to their assigned schools from 08:30.
The Ministry of Education has reminded students of the rules that must be respected during the exam process. The use of mobile phones, smartwatches and any other device that enables electronic communication or the use of artificial intelligence is prohibited.
Also, copying, sharing information between students, or using unauthorized materials is not permitted. Violation of these rules may lead to immediate exclusion from the exam.
High school graduates must present themselves equipped with a valid identification document, such as an identity card or passport, as well as the necessary tools for taking the test.
The foreign language exam marks the beginning of one of the most important stages for high school graduates, the results of which determine whether they will continue their studies in higher education.
