After taking office as Milan's new sporting director, Igli Tare has spoken publicly to the media, sharing his emotions, objectives and vision for the club.
"Milan has a glorious history. I have followed it since I was a child, I remember the time of Wilkins. My family, they were all Milan fans: there has always been a strong bond and I did not hide it even when I became a player. We have to start in the right way, there are many expectations: it has been a very long season with many disappointments. It takes energy and desire to ensure that Milan returns to what we have always seen in its history. We have to be clear about one thing: Milan is a club that demands results immediately, it is a club where you have to win. I have understood this and I am ready to face it: we have to make sure that this happens, but with clear ideas. I want to see a team that sweats for the jersey, that is hungry and wants to win. I want to see that San Siro that explodes with the joy of the fans. "I will do everything, I will give everything of myself to make this happen," he says.
Speaking about his work philosophy, Tare stressed the importance of cooperation within the management structure. He said that he will work closely with Giorgio Furlani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Geoffrey Moncada to build a long-term strategy, especially for the development of young talents.
