Milan appoints Igli Tara as sporting director

After three months of meetings and talks with various candidates, Milan have decided to entrust the position of sporting director to Igli Tare, the former director of Lazio. Tare had been in talks with Milan's delegated administrator, Giorgio Furlani, since April, and now only the final signature is awaited.

According to sources for Corrier.it, the deal will be for two years with an option for a third year. Tare enjoys the support of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gerry Cardinale and has also been positively evaluated by Moncada.

Milan, excluded from European competitions and with the second team relegated to the amateur category, is looking to set clear points for its rebirth. Choosing a new coach and rebuilding the squad will be the next challenges. During his time at Lazio, Tare achieved several important achievements, including the transfer of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
