NomadTech Launched: Platform Promoting Innovation Potential in Albania

Tirana, 22.04.2025 – When a simple idea meets an unwavering will, it turns into Development - under this message, NomadTech was launched today in Tirana - a new innovative platform that aims to empower Albanian startups and promote a sustainable and contemporary development ecosystem. NomadTech represents a concrete commitment of the private sector to support transformative ideas - by creating bridges between innovators, institutions and entrepreneurship.
The event took place in the symbolic premises of the Tirana Pyramid - itself a transformation space - and brought together institutional leaders, government representatives, innovation ecosystem actors and entrepreneurship representatives.

Among the guests who shared their vision for the development of the country through technology and innovation were: Ms. Shqipe Berisha, CEO of Piramida e Tirana, Ms. Keti Luarasi, Deputy Mayor of Tirana Municipality, Mr. Lorent Gordi, General Director of Philip Morris Albania, Mr. Blendi Gonxhja, Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, and Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate.
In his speech, Mr. Lorent Gordi emphasized that NomadTech is more than an innovation platform – it is a mission. “We are not just supporting technology – we are supporting the courage to change, to think differently, to dare. Innovation is not born only from knowledge – but from the will to move forward, even when the path is unknown,” said Gordi.

In her capacity as representative of the Municipality of Tirana, Deputy Mayor Ms. Keti Luarasi praised the importance of initiatives in support of start-ups as an opportunity to promote ideas towards innovation and development.
Also, Minister Delina Ibrahimaj and Minister Gonxhja appreciated the importance of this event as a new moment for start-ups in Albania and appreciated how a company invests in supporting new ideas, which promote innovation models for new development opportunities.
NomadTech is designed to provide structured support for ideas with transformative potential, through:
* Partial grants for startups with high development potential
* Mentoring from local and international experts
* Opportunities for collaboration with key actors of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem
The leader of the NomadTech project, Ergys Gezka, presenting details of this initiative, announced that starting today, April 22, and until May 31, 2025, all start-ups can apply on the website www.nomadtech.al/ and become part of the beneficiaries.
"Each application will go through a detailed assessment by independent experts. And for the best, we don't just offer funding - we offer mentoring, networking and a springboard to the regional and why not even the European market. Today, I want to invite you not only to apply. I want to invite you to dare. To see yourself as part of a generation that no longer waits for things to happen, but that creates them. A generation that takes responsibility for the future and gives meaning to the word innovative," said Gezka.
NomadTech aims to become a reference point for ideas aimed at change, placing at the center the new philosophy of corporate responsibility, where innovation, social impact and sustainable development coexist in a single mission.
