With 8 houses and two cars! KPC dismisses the Appellate Judge in Tirana

The Independent Qualification Commission gave today the decision for the judge of the Court of Appeals in Tirana, Zegjine Sollaku. The judge was not present at the hearing where her dismissal was announced, as it turns out that she does not successfully pass the Vetting process.

In the KPC hearing, inaccuracies in the statements and lack of financial resources were identified, in the total value of ALL 7 million.

According to the report of the Independent Qualification Commission; spouses Zegjine and Theodhori Sollaku own 8 apartments, verified by the administrative investigation, several garages, as well as two vehicles.

Judge Sollaku was represented by her husband, the lawyer and former Chief Prosecutor, Theodhori Sollaku.

He challenged the commission's findings, saying that as the administrative investigation showed, all financial transactions had been carried out by him, adding that his wife had always been focused on her duties.

It is likely that the judge will appeal the KPC decision and it will be the Special Panel that will decide on the judge.

The administrative investigation into Zegjine Sollaku was conducted by a panel chaired by Xhensila Pine, with rapporteur Lulzim Hamitaj and member Suela Zhegu. Francesco Ciardi was present as an international observer.
