Journalists' Association: Don't intimidate journalists on the ground. They don't have to side with you. They're there to document the event.

During the five-day protests against the investment project in Zvërnec, there have been repeated calls for a media boycott. Meanwhile, journalists reporting from the field have reported cases of attempts to obstruct or intimidate them while carrying out their duties.
The Journalists' Association of Albania has reacted to this situation, recalling that the right to protest is an essential element of a democratic society. According to the AGSH, journalists are not part of the parties to the protest, but have the mission to document the events, inform the public and convey the voice of the protesters to the widest possible audience.
In its response, the organization emphasizes that attacks, threats, or obstructions against journalists serve no cause and violate citizens' right to be informed. AGSH calls on protesters and all citizens to respect the work of reporters on the ground, regardless of their opinions about the media or the way they have covered various developments.
