Investments in Zall-Herr that shorten the distance with Tirana, Veliaj: New infrastructure is increasing the value of property

Residents of Mëlçiza from today will be connected to Zall-Herri through the new bridge built by the Municipality of Tirana. After the asphalting of the road segment that connects, not only this village, but the whole Zall-Herr Administrative Unit with Tirana, already shortening the distance to the capital to only 16 minutes, the construction of the reinforced concrete bridge that connects the two banks of the river has been completed. Tërkuzit, all in a record time just a few months from the opening of the construction site.
The Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj who saw up close the new bridge, only a few meters parallel to the existing wooden bridge, referring to the time when residents were forced to find the shallowest point of the river to cross to the other side, said that already with such investments even in villages that once seemed deep just because of the lack of infrastructure, the value of land and property is increasing.

In fact, everything is called the end of the world when there is no infrastructure, including a village like Mëlçiza which is only 15 minutes from the center of Tirana, but since you have to go and cross the river where it was shallow and enter the river to get to the other side, because the pedestrian path could not be used, everything seemed the end of the world. The mayor stressed that such bridges and investments that increase the quality and standard of living in every corner of Tirana will continue at the same pace during the summer season.
"We will build such bridges in all rural areas. We have some similar bridges over other slightly smaller rivers, where we need to make the connection to the main road, so we will continue with this work throughout the summer. We are here to build bridges, to connect people, not to divide them, not to divide them, not to introduce hate speech. I believe that whoever works sees the appearance of his work. Whoever deals with words, of course, does not even understand what it means to do work. The fact that today we come to Zall Herr and find a lot of work done, starting from the Kasala bridge, the Çekrezë bridge, all that giant operation that was done with the addition of the direct line pipeline from Bovilla to Tirana to avoid that drain of the macaroni we found, where everyone stole and irrigated the fields with the drinking water of Tirana, underlined the mayor Veliaj.
Work on the bridge had begun about 13 years ago, according to a project completed in 2007, where only the foot of the bridge was erected and the work was left in the middle. With the new project, the superstructure works have been realized, as well as the additional works for the protection of the pilots and the construction of an ambush below the axis of the bridge for the protection from the further erosions of the river bed.
