Dua Lipa has fired her manager, David Levy, because he tried to stop a group of pro-Palestinian rappers from performing at the Glastonbury festival in June.
David Levy had signed a letter to the festival organizers demanding that Irish band Kneecap be removed from the lineup. However, the band still performed.
Kneecap is a trio of rappers from Belfast: Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí. They have been frequently criticized and accused of supporting Hezbollah.
Levy's letter, which was confidential but later made public, was also signed by several other well-known names in the Jewish music industry.
According to a source quoted by the Daily Mail:
"Dua made sure David Levy was no longer involved with her music projects. She has been outspoken in her support of Palestine, and this was at odds with David's stance."
