After these messages, Egla reacted again: “An answer for Altin Basha! A few days ago, a portal had published some private messages that I had exchanged with the director of Portokallis, Altin Basha. For a superior it is not normal to extract private messages, detached from the context, violating privacy, ethics and professional integrity.
In fact, this came as a reaction from Basha to an interview of mine, where I argued my departure from Portokallia due to "artistic incompatibility with the director." It was just this phrase, expressed so briefly, to respect the director in question and the show, because I did not want to talk about the unprofessional debate we had on the second day of work for the new season, or about the ugly pressure it has on me. made during the last season by addressing me: "you come out on screen because that's how I decide" or "I made you" and neither for the amateurism with which female actresses are treated. Professional ethics may sound like a foreign show to some employees of the Performing Arts sector, otherwise I can not explain the reaction of the director of Orange, after my reaction.
I am proud of the education and respect with which I have addressed him. I never hid my professional respect for him because I did not know that respecting Basha was a shameful thing. Now, I learned. My departure from Portokallia has nothing to do with the quality of the performance as he likes to say, for that it is enough to see the feedback of the public, it has to do with a kind of "freshness" that I refuse to learn to get on stage . I am talking about the same director who has appreciated my talent by having me as an actress in his private performances at the Theater. For the same director with whom we built the first private theater company in Tirana and for the same director who taught me the basics of acting, as my professor at the Academy of Arts.
It would have been wise for me to shut up because this director tomorrow could most likely be the director of the new National Theater, for whom he has spent so much energy explaining why the Theater should not be demolished and then why it should be demolished. , but I judge that my dignity is more sacred than the stage that can be taken away from me tomorrow, because an artist without dignity slanders him, on stage and outside it. Basha's reaction does not make me warm or cold because I did not become an actress yesterday but it violated my privacy and damaged me morally and professionally.
