A serious incident occurred on the coast of Shëngjin, where four young people who had entered the sea were faced with strong waves and sea currents.
According to confirmed information, two people have lost their lives after being pulled by sea currents. The other two have been pulled from the water and are confirmed to be in serious condition.
Police say the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m.
The victims, along with 3 other people, all from Kosovo, had gone into the sea to bathe. As a result of the waves caused by the strong wind, they were in danger of drowning.
Police say that citizens intervened with Jet Skis and police services, which made it possible to bring them to shore. Unfortunately, 2 of them have died while 3 others are receiving medical assistance.
