Rama on CNN about Zvërnec: There is no project, there is disinformation

Prime Minister Edi Rama gave a tense interview to CNN, where he was asked by journalist Isa Soares about the protests against the much-discussed project in Zvërnec.
During the conversation, Rama corrected the journalist by saying that the protests are not taking place throughout Albania, but only in Tirana. On the other hand, CNN brought an activist from Zvërnec to the interview, who argued that the plan envisages the construction of a large-scale complex in a natural habitat of particular importance.
The debate also focused on the contradictory information that has been circulating about the luxury project linked to American investor Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump. According to CNN, the controversies and accusations of "fake news" have received more attention than official clarifications about the project itself.
In the interview, Rama stated that there is currently no final project. He said that Albania is facing a “hybrid war” from its neighbors, implying that the criticism is also related to jealousy over the country’s economic and tourist development.
The prime minister added that five of the world's most renowned architects are working on possible concepts for the area, while insisting that opposition to the project has been fueled by false information and claims that are not based on facts.
The interview comes at a time when the debate over the future of Zvërnec and the potential impact of tourism developments on the area's ecosystem remains one of the most discussed topics in Albanian public opinion.
