Irish actress Brenda Fricker has died at the age of 81. Oscar-winning and beloved by audiences around the world, she left her mark with her performances in popular films and series.
Fricker won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1990 for her portrayal of the mother of Daniel Day-Lewis' character in the film My Left Foot.
However, for generations of viewers she will remain "The Pigeon Woman", the character who became part of one of the most memorable scenes in the film Home Alone 2 (1992), where she meets Kevin in Central Park.
