Shortly after the couple left the courthouse where they had officially married, the bride tripped and fell. Instead of helping her, the groom publicly insulted her, calling her a "fool." The insult was enough for the woman to immediately return to the judge and request an annulment of the marriage. Her request was granted on the spot, making this one of the shortest marriages ever recorded.
