The candidate of the Reestablishment for the Municipality of Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, during today's speech at the opening of the campaign for the Together We Win coalition, made a long biography of himself.
Among other things, he stated that he is from Tirana and has been playing tennis since he was 6 years old.
Excerpt from the speech given in the stadium:
"I am Belind Këlliçi. I am Belindi and I come from a family from Tirana. I took my first lessons at Pjetër Budi school and then attended "Harry Fultz" high school where I was elected President of the Student Government in the 2004-2005 school year .
I have been playing tennis since I was 6 years old and I represented Albania in many international tournaments in the years 2003-2005. In 2004, I was declared National Champion of the U-18 age group in this sport.
I followed my university studies at Coppin State University in Maryland, USA, where I graduated in Management Sciences with the title "Summa Cum Laude" - "With the Highest Honors".
At university, I received the "Student with the highest GPA at graduation" award and I was also part of Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society for the fields of business, management and administration.
This was a life experience that shaped and grew me professionally.
In 2009, I returned to Albania and joined the Youth Forum of the Democratic Party. This was the starting point of my career in politics.
After I followed all the steps and stages of my political career in the structures of Branch 10, where I was elected as the presiding member of the Branch in 2013, in 2014 I was elected as a Member of the National Council of PDSH and in December 2014 I was elected as Presiding Member of PDSH as Head of the Department of Political Persecuted and Owners.
In December 2015, I was elected Chairman of the Youth Forum of the Democratic Party, in a "one member, one vote" process, a unique process for youth political forums in Albania, where 20 national debates between candidates took place and where more than 10,000 young people voted. .
In February 2021, I am appointed Political Leader of the Tirana District for the area of Kombinati, Kashari, Yzberishti, Unaza e Re, Pezēs, Vagarri and Ndroqi.
Pavarësisht dominimit prej vitesh të së Majtës në këto zona dhe shfrytëzimit te fondeve dhe administratës publike për qëllime elektorale nga partia në pushtet, arrita të thyej herësin dhe objektivin e PD me mbi 5004 vota, duke grumbulluar gjithsej 11,601 vota. Sipas këtij rezultati, u rendita kandidati tretë më i votuar nga radhët e opozitës.
Më 27 tetor 2022 shpalla kandidaturën në Primaret e Partise Demokratike për kreun e Bashkisë Tiranë, i vetëdijshëm për vështirësitë e përballjes me fuqinë me të madhe financiare, mediatike dhe korruptive që ka njohur Shqipëria.
Ecuria ime në politikë është përcaktuar nëpërmjet garës dhe votës së lirë. Jeta ime është garë. Kam garuar për të fituar një bursë studimi në SHBA, kam garuar në fushën e tenisit dhe kam dalë prej saj kampion, kam garuar për të drejtuar Departamentin e të Përndjekurve Politikë në PD, kam garuar për të drejtuar Forumin Rinor dhe për të qenë kandidat i opozitës. Jam ngjitur shkallë-shkallë, me mund, me dije dhe punë të ndershme.
I represent in the Parliament of Albania suburban and rural Tirana, the poorest area of the capital, damaged by the earthquake and the lack of public investment, the arena of the biggest political developments, a battle horse for the biggest opposition causes, such as the murder of minors Ardit Gjoklaj, the issue of incinerators, abuses with Reconstruction, the KombinArt project and the 22 million euro affair for 1 kilometer of road in the New Ring Road. They all take place in my constituency. That's why I felt a civic and political obligation to enter this race".
