A man married a woman created with AI and the law recognized their marriage

A Japanese man has legally married an AI-created hologram, and yes, it's real. Akihiko Kondo, a 38-year-old man from Tokyo, held a formal wedding ceremony with Hatsune Miku, a technology-created hologram.

The marriage was legally recognized by Gatebox, the company that allows users to interact with digital partners.

Through it, Kondo can talk to his wife Miku, share daily routines, and even receive emotional responses.

He's not alone; over 4,000 people in Japan have entered into similar "technological" marriages. Experts call this part of a growing movement called fixosexuality, the creation of deep emotional bonds with virtual creatures. What once sounded like science fiction is now becoming a new form of digital intimacy in the modern world.
