Famous director Muharrem Fejzo passes away from Covid. Dedication of his son to the hostages of his last days in the hospital

Covid is learned to have taken the life of the famous director Muharrem Fejzo. The famous artist lost his life in the early hours of this morning at the age of 87.
The sad news for the Albanian cinematography and art was given by his son, Joe Fejzo, with a post on FB where he posted a photo next to his father, which seems to have been taken in the hospital.

The son wrote the hostages of the last hours of life for his directorial father, whom he could not serve, because of the rules set by the pandemic situation.

Hours earlier, he had been begging his father not to succumb to the virus:

The director was affected by Covid a few days ago, while in recent days his health condition had deteriorated.

Muharrem Muharrem Fejzo was born in Kolonjë in 1933. Fejzo practiced as a prompter at the People's Theater in Tirana. He also studied acting and from his great passion for cinema, Muharrem Fejzo contributed as a makeup artist in some of the first Albanian films. Years later he became the director of the House of Culture in the city of Kukes.
Prior to making his first film, Montatorja (1970), Fejzo worked as an assistant director on two feature films, Mithat Fagu's "Prita" (1968) and Hysen Hakan's "Guerrilla Unit" (1969). In 1972, Muharrem Fejzo, together with the director Fehmi Hoshafi, made the film "Kapedani", the first comedy that continues to be considered today as one of the masterpieces of Albanian cinema.
During his career, director Muharrem Fejzo made over dozens of other films, among which can be mentioned: Operation "Fire" (1973) and "Teacher" (1979). His last film "Living Wall", Muharrem Fejzo made in 1989. He was entitled "Naim Frashëri" and "Grand Master".
