
Writer Bardhyl Londo has passed away at the age of 74, after a long battle with a serious illness.
He was hospitalized for two months at the Oncology Hospital in Tirana and during the last 10 days his situation had worsened and he could not survive the disease.
Bardhyl Londo was born in 1948 in Përmet.

Londo belongs to the intellectuals who shared during their lifetime and engagement in politics. For many years he has been a member of the Albanian Parliament under the logo of the Democratic Party.
Critical of the attitudes held today towards the literature of social realism, he often called for the artist's figure to be separated from his political stance and to judge literature without political stances.
Studied language and literature at the University of Tirana. After graduating from the faculty he worked for several years as a teacher in Përmet and then for the literary newspaper "Drita". For some time he has been the president of the "League of Writers and Artists" (LSHA). His literary creativity includes 8 volumes of poetry as well as several novels. He is the winner of the "Migjeni" award.
At the National Prizes for Literature, organized by the National Center for Books and Reading and the Ministry of Culture in 2021, he won the award for the poetic volume "Bitter April" as the best poetic work.
