Russia and Ukraine fulfill Trump's wish. Three-day ceasefire

President Donald Trump has announced a three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, in a new effort to reduce tensions in the years-long war.
The agreement calls for a suspension of all military action, as well as a major prisoner exchange, with 1,000 held by each side. “This ceasefire will include the suspension of all activity, as well as a prisoner exchange of 1,000 people from each country.
"I hope it's the beginning of the end of a long war!" said the American president.
In his tweet, Trump said he had personally requested the three-day ceasefire and "highly appreciates the agreement between President Vladimir Putin and President Volodymyr Zelensky."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky later confirmed Kiev's participation in the deal, while Russian state media reported that Moscow had also accepted the ceasefire. The ceasefire reportedly follows a series of mutual accusations of violations of previous agreements and continued attacks on the front lines.
