Tom Doshi goes to register at the CEC after the warning of Ambassador Yuri Kim:

Two days after the message of the American ambassador who published a decision of DASH to ban Tom Doshi to go to the US, the latter has submitted to the CEC the request to become part of the race on April 25. It is learned that Tom Doshi has asked to be registered in the status of chairman of the PSD-Social Democratic Party.

Prime Minister Rama was asked yesterday about the ambassador's post regarding Tom Doshi where he said that there is no need to use the ambassador to remind her of her duty before the law.

While during an interview two days ago, the head of the CEC Ilirjan Celibashi said that the decision to allow or not to allow a citizen to run does not belong to him, as it is sanctioned by the decriminalization law which candidates are disqualified and which are not.

Celibashi Statement:

"I can say what I said in the meeting with the ambassador, what the ambassador said is herself in a position to make the statement. The CEC has presented everything that the CEC is doing in relation to these elections. The whole range of actions and acts, which had been approved by the CEC up to that moment and in the perspective of approval and other aspects related to the electoral infrastructure and logistics. This issue has been resolved by the Constitution and the law, what is defined in the Constitution and the law means that it is the public interest, it means that it is morality within, the public good after all. Institutions that have the responsibility to implement the Constitution, either directly or through the law, have the sole responsibility to adhere strictly, letter by letter, to the Electoral Code.

Post by Ambassador Yuri Kim:

"While the Albanian election authorities are preparing for the elections, it is worth remembering this warning made by the US Secretary of State after a careful review of the information. "Albania's voters certainly deserve more."
