Sylvinho will be the new coach of the Albanian National Team
The Albanian Football Federation has officially appointed the Brazilian Sylvio Mendes Campos Júnior, also known as Sylvinho, as coach of the Albanian National Team. He will replace the Italian Edi Reja.

The agreement between the AFL and the Brazilian foresees an 18-month duration until the end of Euro 2024.

Sylvinho, 48, played for Corinthias, Arsenal, Celta Vigo, Barcelona and Manchester City where he ended his career.

In 2011 he took the position of assistant coach at Cruzeiro, before moving on to Sport Recife, Nautico, Corinthias, Inter, assistant coach of Brazil for three years before taking charge of Olympique Lyonnais in France and then Corinthians in the Brazilian championship .

The Albanian Football Federation has reached an agreement with coach Sylvio Mendes Campos Júnior to take over the leadership of our national team.

Silvinho will replace the Italian Edoardo Reja in this task, who was in charge of the Rossoneri for 3 and a half years, achieving important results and significantly renovating the team with promising new elements. The Albanian Football Federation thanks Edi Rejan for his valuable contribution to the management of the National Team during these years and highly appreciates the experience and cooperation he has offered in the further growth of the Albanian National Team.

Sylvio Mendes Campos Júnior, known to the public as Silvinjo, has selected the Argentinian Pablo Javier Zabaleta Girod and the Brazilian Dorival Guidoni Junior as his assistants.
