Photos / Avni Rustemi's house, how it was abandoned and how it was turned into a museum

Avni Rustemi's house has become a place of residence for those visiting Libohova. Left for many years ruined and at the mercy of fate, it no longer has anything to do with the previous appearance.

How is it?

It was the former Minister of Culture Mirela Kumbaro who posted some photos "before and after" where she writes:
"5-6 years ago I discovered in Libohova in a completely ruined condition, degraded to the point of distress, the former museum of the city of Libohova and at the same time the house of Avni Rustemi.
.At the request of the community, we worked on the project of restoration and rehabilitation of the house that was about to collapse.
How to illustrate the proverb "union makes power" The Prefect of Gjirokastra and the Municipality of Libohove made possible the implementation of this project for the first phase that saved the building from the destruction of oblivion.
With the Prefect of the region Odise Kote and the President of the Regional Council Lindita Rova and together with the Mayor of Libohova Luiza Mandi, we were today to evaluate closely the completed works for the partial reconstruction of the Museum building.
NëThe ongoing investment will continue from the Gjirokastra Regional Council which will aim at the regulation of the external environments and the cooperation with the Ministry of Culture for the revitalization of this house turning it into a "Museum of Libohova", an investment that will have an impact the development of tourism not only in Libohova, but in the whole region of Gjirokastra Region ", writes Kumbaro.
