JK Rowling calls Emma Watson 'ignorant' after transgender rights

JK Rowling has sharply criticized actress Emma Watson for her stance on transgender rights.
Watson said a few days ago that she still loves the "Harry Potter" author and does not want to "erase" her from her life, despite their differences.

But Rowling responded by saying that her feelings towards her "former friend" have changed, because according to her, Watson "added fuel to the fire" at the height of the debate and threats against her.

In a post on X, Rowling wrote:

"Emma has so little experience with real life that she doesn't even realize how ignorant she is."

Emma Watson, 35, played Hermione Granger in eight films based on Rowling's books between 2001 and 2011. She and Daniel Radcliffe have previously distanced themselves from the author, who has been criticized for her statements against trans activism. Rowling has denied the accusations of transphobia, saying her concerns are about women's rights in women-only spaces.
