The World Cup final will be accompanied by a huge musical spectacle, featuring performances by Madonna, Shakira and Korean band BTS, organizers have announced.
The World Cup final will be held on July 19 in New Jersey. For the first time in the history of this competition, a halftime show, similar to the one at the American Super Bowl, will be organized during the break between halves. The program will be presented by Chris Martin, the vocalist of the band Coldplay.
According to ESPN, the break between parts may last longer than the standard 15 minutes to make room for musical performances.
Artistic performances during the finals are a very popular tradition at sporting events in the US, especially the Super Bowl.
The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in 16 cities in the US, Mexico and Canada.
