Marched for Palestine and was fired from Hollywood agency. Susan Sarandon now makes small films in Europe

Susan Sarandon recently spoke about the current state of her Hollywood career and why she has been working less in recent years.
The Oscar-winning actress, who was left without a representation agency in November 2023 after her statements about the Israel-Gaza war, said in a public discussion that these positions have brought direct professional consequences. According to her, after participating in a protest demanding a ceasefire in Gaza, she was expelled from the agency and it became more difficult for her to work on major projects in the US.
Sarandon added that she then found work opportunities in Europe, particularly in England and Italy, where she participated in films and theater plays, mostly with smaller productions and young directors.
She also emphasized that she has been touched by the support she has seen in countries like Spain and Ireland for the Gaza issue, comparing it to what, according to her, is happening in the US, where she feels more restricted in public debate and the media.
