Love is over in the basket! Banksy's work sells for milion 16 million

A Banksy artwork which was smashed at a previous auction has sold for a record 16 16 million.
"Love has ended in the basket" was what was left of the destruction of his work "The Girl with the Balloon", which was sold for 1 million pounds in 2018.
'A real icon'
Ahead of the auction opening, director Barker said the painting became an "unexpected piece of performance art" when it was smashed into the same auction room after being sold to a "European private investor" three years ago.
The starting bid was milion 2.5 million, then its price reached milion 10 million within minutes after multiple bids were placed.
Bids then gradually climbed to a record 15 15 million as the race gradually narrowed among fewer people.
There were some test moments as bidder Nick Buckley Wood waited to see if anyone would exceed his prej 16m bid from his client.
A nod from his rival finally showed they were out of the race.
Barker said: "With 16 16 million ladies and gentlemen, we are selling Banksy at Sotheby's.
