Yesterday's storm caused many problems in the country.
The lack of electricity continues to affect parts of Vlora, Fier, Saranda and Librazhd, while Patos remains without water supply due to a power outage at the Varibop pumping station. At the Port of Durres, strong winds knocked over several empty containers.
The Ministry of Infrastructure announces that the working groups remain on the ground to fully normalize the situation.
REPORT ON THE SITUATION AND MEASURES TAKEN TO DEAL WITH THE BAD WEATHER DURING THE EVENING AND EARLY MORNING HOURS
Yesterday evening, several areas of the country were hit by bad weather, with intense rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, which caused several problems. Working groups, under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, have been on the ground since the first moments, intervening to normalize the situation.
ROAD AXES
Albanian Road Authority teams have continuously monitored the situation on the ground, clearing the area from falling rocks or materials.
National roads have been passable without problems and traffic has continued normally.
The ARA is on standby and continuously monitors the condition of the roads.
ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
Currently, there are 21 feeders out of work nationwide, with Vlora, Fieri, Saranda and Librazhdi among the affected regions.
In the early hours of the morning, the Livadhja NST was put into operation and power was restored to several areas.
The OSSH has engaged over 1,000 employees in the field to normalize the electricity supply situation.
TRANSMISSION NETWORK
Currently, all 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV lines are in normal operation.
DRIN CASCADE
The situation in the Drin River basin appears calm and problem-free.
WATER SUPPLY
Saranda
The situation at the Wastewater Pumping Station (WPS) in Saranda has returned to normal. The WPS in Ksamil has also returned to normal operation.
The blocked roads at the Drinking Water Pumping Station have been unblocked and work is currently underway to remove fallen trees at ITUN.
Durres
As a result of unfavorable weather conditions, temporary problems have been identified at the pumping stations in Fushë Krujë and Çermë.
At the Çermë pumping station, an electric pump broke down. Technical teams intervened immediately and, within a few hours, the defect was repaired, restoring the electric pump to normal operation.

At around 02:00, the defect at the Kafaraj station was repaired, enabling the restoration of normal water supply to the city of Fier.
The Varibop station continues to lack electricity supply. As a result, the city of Patos remains without water supply. Work is underway to restore electricity.
Other companies have not had any problems. The situation is under control.
PORTS AND AIRPORT
Tirana Airport
The situation at Tirana Airport has been mostly calm, with some isolated meteorological phenomena, which have caused some slight delays in arriving traffic.
Port of Durres
As a result of the storm, several empty containers were overturned at the Container Terminal, 8 of which suffered significant damage.
Coordination with the relevant companies is currently ongoing for a full assessment of the situation and damages.
In other sectors of the Port of Durres, activity continues normally.
The situation in the Port of Saranda appears calm this morning. The line to Corfu continues normally.
