PDK leader Kadri Veseli pleads not guilty before Special Court in The Hague

Following the confirmation of the indictment for war crimes, the chairman of PDK, Kadri Veseli appeared before the Hague Tribunal today.

As a former KLA leader, Veseli has committed war crimes against the civilian population in Kosovo.

"I heard all the points and let me declare myself innocent in all points of the indictment," said Veseli.

Only a day ago, a trial was held for former President Hashim Thaçi and former Parliament Speaker Jakup Krasniqi.

After Veseli, the one who is expected to appear before the Special Panel is the head of the LVV parliamentary group, Rexhep Selimi.

The specific purpose of the first hearing is to inform Krasniqi of the charges, to confirm that the accused understands the indictment and to inform him that after 10 days he can report on each point of the indictment.

So this hearing is not a trial, no evidence is debated and no decision is made.
