NASA Scientist: This will be the coolest summer you'll ever have

A NASA scientist, Peter Kalmus, has warned that this summer "will be the coolest" we will experience for the rest of our lives, as heat waves continue to ravage Europe and the US, while floods , monsoons and typhoons hit Asia.
"Most people still don't know what danger they're in," said Peter Kalmus on Twitter.
“This is going to be the coolest summer you'll ever have, and this shouldn't just be a meme. It's actually terrible," he added.
Kalmus called for an end to fossil fuel use as soon as possible, before clarifying in a later post that "there will always be regional and interannual variation, but in an average sense, warming trends mean that this will be the coolest summer for a long time."
He also said that if the world and society "go into climate emergency mode", it would be possible for the planet to start cooling by the end of the century.
